It is with a touch of regret that Jill and I are leaving the tree house today. We came here for my birthday; and while it was a complete surprise for me, Jill also did not fully know what to expect. What we found here was serenity, an opportunity to reclaim lost time, and the best birthday I have ever had. We came here for a couple of days for peace and serenity and found so much more! The tree house was a great idea and it is very romantic. Can you believe it has two floors? Dave was able to catch our meals right out of the river. He had a lot of fun since he and I are both so busy with our jobs back in Raleigh. Don and Gail are great hosts. We want to return and do this again. Dave may return to do deer hunting. Thanks for the wonderful experience. We hope to return again-

We are two artists from Atlanta and unexpectedly had a wonderful four days. We decided to stop in the Valley at this spot. It was windy with hints of rain and all the color you could stand. We canoed our first day; fighting the current during the sunset. We went on a day long hike on our second day. That was not easy going 11 miles, but wow. The beauty was endless. And the tree house felt safe and cozy. Did I mention it was our second wedding anniversary? Thank you, Don and Gail. We'll remember this for a long time-
