the Mountain Hideaway Cabin Guestbook

We enjoyed our
stay very much. What a lovely valley that is! We met your niece at Healing
Oasis, too...so you can see we were 'roughing it' in between hikes.
Dropping off our recycling I wondered if those are your horses...white
one (and I thought I saw a black one in the stalls)...wow...beautiful.
Are those solar panels or skylights on the stable?

This was a wonderful place to unwind after Christmas busyness. We loved
the light, the windows, the fireplace, the Jacuzzi, but most of all,
the chance to relax, read, and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Our Scottie,
Bella, enjoyed it too! We’ll be back!

Ted and I came here for our honeymoon, it was wonderful. The scenery
is awesome, the town of Luray is so cute, and the people so nice; makes
you think you have stepped back in time to much simpler life. We loved
our time here with no stress and just pure relaxation. We hope to be
back.

We only live about forty minutes away, but it felt like a world away.
Only regret is that we cannot spend several more days.

The caverns were gorgeous; we went jet skiing today and have been enjoying
the hot tub and back patio. The rose petals and chocolate covered cherries
were a real treat.

We enjoyed spending time with each other — cribbage outside, canoeing
one the river, cooking, and the caverns were a great ½ day trip.
Thanks for providing a great atmosphere for our first anniversary

The peace and quiet has been such a blessing for us — we really
needed to get away. The leaves were at peak and just breathtaking! We
found good food and shopping in the town of Luray. Thank you for a wonderful
cabin — everything we could have needed.

We found two nice hikes in Shenandoah National Park, visited Luray Caverns
(wow!), went to the local festival, and canoed down the Shenandoah.
We got lots in over three days — a great stay. Appreciate the
pet friendly cabin; our dog loved it up here.

My wife and I caught over one hundred bluegills at Bealer Ferry Pond.
I hooked two largemouth bass as well (4 ½ and 2 ½ lbs).
Fishing, grilling, nightly movies, and relaxing in the mountains is
just what we needed. We’ll be back next year!

First, we want to thank you for going out of our way by setting up the
candles and rose petals. I was shocked to see how lovely it was, and
even more shocked when my boyfriend proposed to me! It couldn’t
have been more romantic: it was raining outside and the mist settled
on the patio. We loved the views and, of course, the Jacuzzi. The cabin
was very cozy and full of love.
