We had a great week here at Misty River. We canoed up and down the river, visited the zoo, went horseback riding and did a little fishing. The nightly bonfire helped keep the bugs away. We had smores and roasted hotdogs over the fire. We saw a deer run across the backyard. That was awesome! The weekend was amazing. It was just what our family needed after my husband returned from a six-month deployment. It was our daughter’s first time out in nature. We tried to roast hotdogs and made some smores. We went hiking and looked for bugs. My daughter had a pet slug and salamander for the weekend. We went rafting down the river too. This weekend was such a relaxing get-away for us. The master bedroom was the best – light and bright – just the way I love things. The kids enjoyed the dartboard and thanks for having games here.
