The Country Place on the Shenandoah River has always been the site for not only camping but also corporate and organization retreats, school programs, and special events such as rustic weddings and their rehearsals, fishing trips, parties, or reunions .

Create your own program for your group: select from the variety of activities, meals, and schedules.

Do it your way: downhill mountain biking, road cycling, trail running, hiking, canoeing, fishing, fly fishing (with a certified Orvis instructor). You can bring kayaks, canoes, and bikes. You want more? Camp founder Donald Liscomb has been designing and teaching outdoor and survival skills at The Country Place since 1984 and specializes in team building activities that appeal to all age and physical skill levels.

You can bring your camping equipment, but remember that we have standing wall tents on wooden platforms, equipped with bunk beds for up to 52 people. We also have a  full kitchen, bath facilities, a screened-in dining room, barbeque, and a campfire area with stage and rain canopy. We can provide three meals a day, either hearty camp meals or lean cuisine. There is no more accommodating camp exclusively yours for your group.
