The South Fork of the Shenandoah River has smallmouth bass, catfish, and perch just waiting for you. Licenses are cheap and you can pick them up at Wal-Mart and Long’s Outfitters. We have a private Shenandoah River beach front exclusively for you where you wade out just below rapids. We can also tell you some other places on the river, and about two lakes a short hike away in the George Washington National Forest.
Fly fishing? They say we have the best spots in the county. The Country Place can provide canoe, kayak and tube rentals for you and your group. We can also arrange cabin and lodge rentals. There are three places nearby where you can experience horseback riding.
