Call us at 540.743.4007 (9 AM to 8 PM) with basic contact info and MC/VISA.
Confirmation email includes attached information documents about rental: address, directions for last mile, local phone number, lock box code to gain access, permission document to use canoe, tubes, bike, Jacuzzi, hottub and more. Request scenic directions (restaurants, wineries, shopping) to make your escape begin before you get to The Country Place and fishing regulations.

Weather concerns?
If you think, why come to the country if it is raining or snowing? We think why stay in the city in the rain or snow? Cozy up with your book, hot drinks, friends in front of our wood burning fireplaces. Or get in the Jacuzzi or hot tub and enjoy the river and mountains with a roof over your head.
If you feel weather or any other situation might prohibit your visit, we recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance from a 3rd party vendor… ie… CSA travel insurance 800-711-1197 www.csatravelprotection.com

Concerns about not being able to keep your reservation?
Through a third party vendor recommended by our booking agency, purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations caused by health, military assignment, job, or even family death concerns. Contact information is sent with registration materials; your own travel agency may provide the same coverage.

Where is the nearest grocery/ABC/ gas/ newspaper store?
Ten miles of country road to Luray, so stop to shop before you arrive.

Any hiking nearby?
The Country Place properties are very close to the Habron Gap Trail up Massanutten Mountain in the George Washington National Forest. Just off the Sanctuary Tree House and river camp is another trail along the riverfront to the lower lake in the George Washington National Forest.

Does The Country Place do weddings? Yes, we do. At Captain's Lodge on the Rapids, Misty River Retreat, the Base Camp, and the River Camp all have been the site for outdoor weddings. And all are very special honeymoon sites along with the Sanctuary Tree House. Our locations and facilities are unique in the beautiful outdoors on the Shenandoah River; perfect for those seeking an unforgettable site for all their special occasions
