Sixty feet high overlooking its private meadow on the Shenandoah River, Captain's Lodge on the Rapids offers perfect serenity and privacy for 2 to 23 people on 15 acres.
The Lodge with outdoor firepit and riverfront firepit has hosted reunions, office retreats, honeymoons and weddings. A two-minute or so walk down to its private riverfront, with canoes and tubes in season, guests picnic on the river's edge, fish just above the rapids, and enjoy the constant roar of the rapids. Summer time you can swim below and above the rapids.
Newly renovated in 2010, the lodge offers central AC and heat, FREE Wireless Internet access and additional bedrooms.
Pay for just what you need from 2 to 23 guests– no matter what, you have the entire 15 acres and game room to yourselves.

Option 1:
· Rent the upstairs with game room for up to 10 people:
2 bedrooms with queen bed and 1 with double bed.
bathroom off master bedroom with large shower;
second bath with private entrances into bedroom and hall.

Great room with gas burning fireplace, great views and outside deck has queen futon

Options 2 and 3
· Add bedroom of bunk beds (sleeps 5) minimum of $100 per night
And/or bedroom with full size and single bed (sleeps 3) for $ 75 to 100 per night

Option 4:
· Or rent the entire lodge of 7 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, 3 full baths, washer and dryer, fee depends upon total number of paying guests.

Option 6: Host an event. Fee for additional day usage guest: from $10 to $15.

This stunning view from the deck shows the beautiful rapids that stretch all the way across the Shendandoah River right in the back yard of Captain's Rapids Lodge. An easy walk to the riverside, this area should be prime for wade fishing.

With a glass wall (not shown in photo) facing the rapids and direct access to the patio, the Lodge game room is below the Great Room and has regulation size table tennis, pool table, darts, table for cards, exercise equipment, and a 2+ person Jacuzzi with sliding glass doors to the hillside over the river rapids.

Rates:

Memorial Day through New Year’s Rates for two:
2 nights $495
Extra nights $195
7 night week $1400
Fees based on number of people. Additional people $25 per night.

Two-night minimum stay requested; three nights holiday weekends; four days Thanksgiving.

Winter off-season rates for 4 begin at $395 per two nights, midweek three nights for two-night rates, Sundays through Thursday nights, holidays excepted.
Bedrooms are locked out within this property depending on number of guests booking and are based on 2 paying guests per room. Receive up to 5 free children per reservation, based on one per paying adult. Additional children are $15.00 per extra child/per night.

May 1 through September 30 and all major holidays requires a minimum of 4 adults fees to reserve this property.

Special rates for special events, depending upon specifics. The Captain’s
Rapids Lodge is an ideal site for weddings, corporate retreats, family
reunions, and other groups.
